Little Sprouts Early Learning Centre caters for 75 children daily from birth to school age. We are open Monday to Friday from 6.15am to 6.15pm. Only closed public holidays.
Philosophy –
At Little Sprouts Early Learning Centre we believe:
•The primary focus of child care needs to be the individual child with their differing needs, abilities, interests & backgrounds. The objective of an early learning centre is to meet the needs of the individual child & provide experiences that will foster their overall development.
•That play is essential to young children’s learning & the importance of providing children with a wide range of educational experiences based on all areas of the individual child’s development. We acknowledge, support & nurture a child’s interests & strengths, their sense of wonder & fun. Our programs have a balance between child centred & adult led play.
•That children need to feel safe & secure within the early learning centre. Our early childhood Teachers aim to develop a positive relationship with each child by showing love, care, empathy & being positive.
•In the importance of community involvement within the early learning centre. Children will be given the opportunity to experience & explore life in the wider community through planned excursions & visits from cultural performers, local community services, families & friends.
•That parents are the most important people in a child’s life. We support & encourage the interest & involvement of parents to share in, contribute & feel part of their child’s experience at the early learning centre at all times.
•Each child is unique & needs to be respected within a non-discriminatory environment. We respect & value a child’s individual needs & abilities, their home & their religious & cultural beliefs.
•In providing our early childhood Teachers with opportunities to fulfill their professional role by further developing their skills & knowledge through further training & professional development whilst having their needs & rights recognized & supported.
